General Purpose of the Job:

Senior Accountant has an important role in the financial reporting, analysis, and compliance functions within the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Monitor daily cash balances, transactions, and bank account activities.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads to develop and monitor budgetary goals.
  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor requests.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Stay current with accounting regulations and standards, ensuring the company's financial operations adhere to the latest requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members as needed.

Main Key Performance Indicators:

  • Maintain and update financial records and prepare the month-end and year-end closing under time requirements;
  • Lead in the local finance software and SAP implementation and stay current with accounting regulations and standards;
  • Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditors’ requests;
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, working with department heads to develop and monitor budgetary goals;
  • Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of Local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
